I started using Google Apps with my domain and I haven’t looked back yet. I had GMail before, but liked having an e-mail with my own domain. That being said, GMail had the option of downloading mail through POP, but I wanted to keep a copy on the server so I could do IMAP transfers if I ever moved hosts. There was already a delay in getting e-mail from my domain account as google only checked about every hour for new mail and with all the mail sitting on my server, it was starting to take GMail a long time to start downloading the latest messages. I ended up moving hosts (setting up my own VPS) and decided I didn’t want to deal with e-mail and spam management so I decided to go with Google Apps for my domain. E-mail is now super fast, goes straight to my account, and I still have all the great features of GMail, but now with my own branding.

1You should check out Flickr’s new capabilities. They can do most of the common photoshop functions (crop, rotate, etc) from a web interface.
