Simply put: because I’m going to buy Hold’em Poker.

This arguing over the quality and breadth of the SDK is so beyond pointless that it ceases to be funny very quick. You are either on the money train and are going to make software for a device that sold 4 million units in the last several months, or you’re not. Each one of those units is $350+, plus they buy videos, music, and other crap all the time through iTunes, and they’re going to buy apps.

Take the SDK, make a good app under whatever limitations Apple has put on, and make some money. Don’t complain about the fact that the SDK limits your ability to push the boundaries of stability. I want stability. I have several PCs for primary machines, so having a phone that doesn’t crash is kinda nice.

It’s not new, but have you heard of GTD? Some of my favorite new apps are GTD-oriented.

Well, as we’ve talked about earlier, I use a couple of Web2.0 apps – but I’m adding one to enhance some others. Enter Jott. I’d read about it, but until you check it out, you just don’t get it.

Sandy and Remember the Milk both integrate seamlessly in to Jott. That means that my wife is now #2 on my speed dial list.

Since the makers of the iPhone didn’t deem it neccesary to add a To-Do list to the primary application list, and since I run 1.0.12 and therefore can’t jailbreak, and since 3rd Party Apps are still pushed out till 1st Qtr of 2008, the ability to utilize these Apps by just dialing a toll-free number comes as close to blowing your mind as we can get in this “I’ve seen it all” society of ours. As Lisa Simpson would say… “Meh.”

Or, maybe I should be quoting Neo. “Whoa.”

Also, if you haven’t heard yet… Remember the Milk released a Gmail Firefox Plugin.

Ok, so I thought I would share this since I have my iPhone now and I’m really excited about some recent developments in the mobile web world…

First off, iPhone misses:

no voice record option although it’s completely capable of doing so I believe

iPod function doesn’t have run-on feature… like just keep playing and go to the next something… don’t leave me music-less

no games yet – i want my texas hold’em for the iPhone

can’t save pics from e-mails or web pages

can’t just upload a pdf or txt file to read on the go… bummer.

Good news, though. Google Mobile Blog has just released notice that they updated Google for the iPhone. Now I can see the “Other Apps” features like they’re meant to be seen (I see Reader, Calendar, Mail, and search all on one screen) and I can even add stars to emails now. All that’s left is to be able to add new events to the calendar in the place and time I want them.
